I'm Lynne of Laurel Designs, a specialist designer and maker of high quality equestrian-themed toys for children and collectors.

I began designing and making these toys over 30 years ago, and each toy is still hand-crafted and individually finished to provide a uniquely personal gift. We believe that our hobby horse is the most lifelike and appealing available, and our experience is that children feel the same.

We have supplied hobby horses to playgroups and have been told that they are often the first toys that children rush to play with. They stimulate the imagination in traditional play - be a cowboy or knight, play 'pony club' in the garden, or just ride your horse to the shops!

These are toys that you'll want to keep, long after their riders have outgrown them. They always look good standing in an umbrella stand or in a corner, and many are bought by adults purely for their own pleasure, or as a treat for when the grandchildren visit.
